No business like snow business

We are experiencing the heaviest snow we have seen here since the 'Beast from the East' back in 2018.
It isn't actually that cold, but the cause of the snow is a front across the UK with icy Arctic Maritime air to the north and warmer air to the south.
What is slightly unusual is the length of time this system looks like it will lurk around.
Expect more snow into Friday and a cold and icy Saturday before a wetter, warmer spell next week when the front between the air masses moves northwards.
