Farewell Datapoint

The Met Office is retiring its longstanding data service Datapoint this month.

This site had been using Datapoint for text-based forecasts, synoptic charts and some satellite images.

Over the past few weeks most of the code has been reworked to use alternative data sources. Unfortunately, the B&W satellite images will be going but everything else remains.

Synoptic charts are now availble in two versions – the traditional black and white ones (which I prefer) and also a new colour version.
